American Girl is excited to be working once again with this award-winning author!
Kathleen Ernst brings to life the world of Caroline Abbott™—a brave, adventurous girl who lives through the War of 1812. Her stories will inspire girls to listen to both their minds and their hearts when facing difficult choices. While writing these stories, Kathleen explored Caroline’s hometown of Sackets Harbor, New York, right on the shore of Lake Ontario; and the Kingston area in Canada.
Kathleen’s passion for writing started early in life. As a teen, she worked in a library and dreamed of one day seeing her own books on the shelf. She has now published more than 20 novels—including several of the American Girl Mysteries. Kathleen lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
