Catherine Stine

Catherine Stine has written middle-grade fiction for American Girl and Scholastic, including the story “The Fashion Contest” in Be Careful What You Wish For. Her young-adult novel, Refugees (Laurel Leaf), earned a New York Public Library Best Book for Teens, prompted a “Story Behind the Story” interview in Booklist, and appears on the United Nations Web site. Ms. Stine has also designed children’s fabrics and illustrated a book or two. She hails from Philadelphia and lives in New York City.
