Laurie Calkhoven is the author of the Boys of Wartime fiction series and many books of nonfiction for children, including American Girl's The Family Quiz Book and Miles of Smiles. Like the characters in her Innerstar University™ book Fork in the Trail, she enjoys hiking and has hiked trails in many places around the world, including France, Holland, and the Grand Canyon. She lives in New York City.
